I tink its not very cheap to shop there lehs, tings are like rather expensive. :(
But its a good thing for the retailers lahs ! can earn alot, rental cheap. Service wise, also not very good. K, enuff of the bad points. Besides, its not a shopping paradise ryte? so not much expectations. I will emphasize on the good points later on. (:

Most of the time, i stayed at my uncle and cousin's house and watch bu liang xiao hua and play theme hospital. not boring lahs ! i kinda like it also. such a big family to live together.

anyway, visuals ahead. shall stop some wordy entry for the moment.

firstly, u have to guess ! what kinda of house did i stay during the week ! GUESS GUESS GUESS ~ its sarawak lehs.. native area lehs.. got tribes wan lehs...

haha. i am kidding lahs people ! i acutally live in a house throughout their week. Its my uncle and cousin house.

yarhs. i know most of the singaporeans thought sarawak is a tribal area. Its understandable because even the name also so tribal ! Sarawak lehs ! sound really tribal-ish. Anyway, those kampong and tribes saw in documentary i nvr see lehs ! really. i also wanna see ! but i tink its modernised kinda tribes bah. I did see natives but they are like really normal people. Yes yes, i didn't see tree houses or tribe group leaded by a head, wearing leaf or whatsover. =.=
Miri is rather advanced, i guess. Oh yes, there is a shopping mall. =.=

I did came across some squatters areas though but from a car obviously.

The grasses are as tall as humans and half as tall as trees. Really amazing. I seriously felt that singapore grasses are so "botak".

Have you people heard of the idiom: The grass is greener the other side?
perhaps, maybe its true.
However, i tink is the sky is my side is bluer ! hehe ! Its very pretty ryte?

Sorry sorry ! The marry brown pictures suppose to be in the front of the entry. Its is not from Sarawak, its from Johore. Price wise, i tink quite reasonable. 13RM. Acutally quite ex lahs. I rather spend the money on Mcdonalds, KFC or Popeye ! :P Yums !

But their drink very special, its strawberry miranda. Singapore dun hav. Taste wise, ok only. Orange miranda nicer. I tink Singapore has marry brown too. Somewhere in tampines i guess?

Anyway, I shall blog my x'mas day on sarawak ~ shall not elaborated on other days cos its most playing, eating ! haha. :)

We (family consisting of grandma, mother, uncle, auntie and cousins) went to the hotel for a party. Oh well, I shouldn't use the word party as it is kinda inappropriate. I think the proper word is " gathering"

Haha. If you know how to read chinese, u sld be able to make out what is it lahs.
Its a gathering of the Hakka people, like eating and celebrating the bond or something. Becos our forefathers hav strive hard for ancestors like us able to succeed futher. Its like a celebration. Something like that.
Anyway, alot of people gathered k? around 30 tables like tat. I presume so.

Hoho. She is not much older than me la. We are both in the same year. 1991. She is born in April (think so) while I am born on November ! She is around 7 months older than me. I am always bigger size than her lahs. The only time that she was bigger size than me was when I was born and she is half-year old. Lol. Reason y i call her Jie Jie behind her name is bcos when we were both few years old, i was bigger size than her. Then end up she called me Jie jie instead. So our family wanted to like make us know who is the real elder sister and younger wan. So I was to call her Jie Jie lors. Haha, until now it becomes a habit already.
I also hav a cousin (biao-jie) who is same year as me. But i dun call her jie jie. Cos it sounds really weird. (Jac Jie Jie) JJJ ! hahahaha.

btw ying ying jie jie smile until very nice ryte? (: She very pretty lehs with her straight hair and teeth. She seriously made me miss my rebonded straight hair. Also, she also very high in making cheeky faces ! (: hohohoho. I like her alot.

My grandmother got receive prize on stage lehs !! =DDDDD

She is somewhere there lahs ~ hahahaha. She received a gold badge and an angbao token for being old ! :D
She is 86 years old. Every five years can get gold badge and angbao. For those who are more than 100 years old, every year can get ( of course lahs ! how many more 5 years can a 100 year-old can have -.-)
The gold badge and angbao acts like a motivation to live longer ! :)
My grandmother gave me the angbao after the gathering, its only 20RM lors. wahlau, cheapskate to the max. 86 years in life only worth 20RM. den me is what? i am only 17 years old lehs. Think only worth 2RM. Xp

But seriously, she is damn sweet ryte? I am not her only grandchildren there lehs ! and the small token angbao she actually gave it to me. I really feel very gandong ! :') [notice the tear]

He is my cousin btw ! oldest grandson my grandmother have. He is Chia Kah Wai and he is 27 years old. He does look young i must say. And he thought i was 22 ! agrr.. I look that old meh !? (&*^$*(

Anyway, he is damn proud of himself when he succeeded being the emcee ! (:

Alot of relatives say we look like sisters when we are younger. :)

I love her alot. really. I hope she can live for very long and live with quality of life too.
can spend sometime on what she interests and dun tink things that are negative.

There is a Chinese saying which i loosely translated to english: ' the mother who brought you up is closer than the mother that gives birth to you.'
i tink its very true. In my case, Singapore is like the mother that brings me up and Malaysia is the mother that gives birth to me. Of course want both mother ryte? really, i appreciate for all the benefits that Singapore gave, but i m really not ready to be a singaporean. Don't you think being a Singaporean that is not born in Singapore. Moreover, I have many childhood memories there. and my grandfather and father are burried there. Its like dui bu qi dem if i change my nationality.

and i didn't get to visit their grave when i went back to Miri. :(
yes, its utterly useless to whine and complain. Its like begging (nope, u dun have to understand this sentence. its meant for myself)

I feel really dissapointed on myself. I sound like a foreigner that came here for a holiday. I know nothing abt the culture and dunno how 2 speak malay. :(
and one of my cousin actually thought i was a Singaporean. -.-
thats actually a sad thing lehs. meaning i am so freaking detached from being a Sarawak-ian. I am too "city-lised"
Ok. ~ I wanna retire and die there bcos its a very beautiful place and its is a place that belongs to me.
